Networks and systems that must work together

Network design and IT infrastructure architecture

Networks and infrastructure should not be defined by allegiance to a particular vendor. We improve heterogeneous systems and select new components only when necessary.

Multi-site connectivity, changing providers, exposed services and hybrid environments require a joined-up view of traffic, access and ownership. The objective is infrastructure that is understandable, documented and maintainable.

Operational contexts

  • You need to connect sites, segment networks or revise routing, VPNs and firewall rules.
  • You are migrating servers, virtualisation or cloud services while minimising disruption.
  • Systems work, but documentation is incomplete or knowledge is concentrated in a few people.

Technical activities

  • Review topology, application flows and dependencies.
  • Design segmentation, routing, VPN, connectivity and migration paths.
  • Review Linux services, identity, virtualisation, backup and observability.
  • Document decisions, run technical checks and hand over the resulting architecture.

Outputs and documentation

Depending on scope, deliverables may include logical diagrams, architecture decisions, a change plan and acceptance criteria. Migrations consider service availability and rollback options.

Delivery approach

Experience with different technology generations helps us integrate legacy and modern environments. Proprietary products, open source and managed services are evaluated against actual requirements, skills, operating costs and sustainability.

An initial discussion establishes the environment, objectives, constraints and scope of any proposed engagement.
